Reformer Pilates is a whole body workout designed to improve strength, flexibility, balance, posture and coordination its perfect for rehabilitation and injury prevention.

The reformer was invented by Pilates founder Joseph Pilates. It is a bed-like frame with a flat platform on it, called the carriage, which rolls on wheels within the frame. The carriage is attached to one end of the reformer by a set of springs, which can be adjusted to increase and decrease resistance.

Exercises can be done lying down, sitting, standing, pulling the straps, pushing the footbar, perched on the ​footbar, perched on the shoulder blocks, with additional equipment, upside down, sideways, and all kinds of variations.

Our studio is on the 2nd floor above Hockley Gym, we have 6 reformers in a bright welcoming studio. The studio offers small group classes and private sessions. Click here to find out more about our instructors.

Symmetry offers small group courses and private reformer sessions we only have 6 people on reformers at anyone time, this means we offer much more exclusive, personal support and guidance. Our sessions are consistently full and with a desire to offer professional sessions classes are only currently available to those who have completed a course or intro session with us, contact us for more information.

We run classes all the time with term time courses, offering you the chance to reserve the same day and time each week thus ensuring progression with a group of similar ability.

Drop in sessions packs are available once you have completed either a course or intro session.
