About us
Our studio is on the 2nd floor above Hockley Gym, we have 4 reformers in a bright welcoming studio. The studio offers small group courses and private sessions. Click here to find out more about our instructors.
Symmetry offers small group courses and private reformer sessions we only have 4 people on reformers at anyone time, this means we offer much more exclusive, personal support and guidance. Our sessions are consistently full and with a desire to offer professional sessions classes are only currently available to members, to become a symmetry member you will need to have completed one of our courses, please email symmetryhockley@gmail.com or book a taster session.
We run classes all the time with term time packs or individual sessions packs for school holidays, our term time packs mean you commit to the same day and time each week, ensuring progression with a group of similar ability.
We only offer drop in sessions (bolt ons) only for current clients and members, these are people that have completed a foundations course with us, if you have been on a reformer elsewhere please drop us an email to find out how you can join Symmetry.
All those new to symmetry courses are invited to a welcome session so we can get to know your needs and goals.

Reformer Pilates is a whole body workout designed to improve strength, flexibility, balance, posture and coordination its perfect for rehabilitation and injury prevention.
The reformer was invented by Pilates founder Joseph Pilates. It is a bed-like frame with a flat platform on it, called the carriage, which rolls on wheels within the frame. The carriage is attached to one end of the reformer by a set of springs, which can be adjusted to increase and decrease resistance.
Exercises can be done lying down, sitting, standing, pulling the straps, pushing the footbar, perched on the footbar, perched on the shoulder blocks, with additional equipment, upside down, sideways, and all kinds of variations.
